DC Met Leadership

DC Met Leadership is a partnered program with Washington Metropolitan High School in which students are given the opportunity to become more involved in their communities.  Students are engaged through various activities and sub-programs, designed to produce compassionate and well informed citizens.  Furthermore, DCML utilizes the mentorship model which concentrates efforts and resources on the quality instead of quantity in program production.  Concorde Foundation essentially partners alongside the students to guide, challenge and mentor the students towards shaping the world that they live in for the better.

Impact Projects

Students are invited in the beginning of the school year to partner with Concorde Foundation in bringing an idea to impact and improve their community to life.  Concorde works alongside the student to provide guidance, development skills, resources, and community advocacy.  Students commit on a volunteer basis and work tirelessly on the merit of their own dedication.

Career Partnerships

Students who are required by school curriculum to fulfill an internship are invited to enroll in the career partnerships program to receive career development, resource assistance, and community advocacy. Concorde Foundation works with the students to assess and explore their career interests and goals while empowering its pursuit through obtaining an relevant unpaid internship in the region.

Community Service

The Community Service section is an open section allowing students needing community service hours to participate. Concorde Foundation provides volunteer coordination and event management of community service opportunities.  Concorde works alongside school staff and faculty to coordinate community service activities relevant and appealing to the at-risk student population.
