DC Met Leadership provides career development for the students at WMHS by assessing, prepping, and matching students with internships with community organizations in D.C.
This is often a difficult process as the goal is to empower students to follow their career passions while advocating for the students to community leaders to provide such opportunities for them.
Concorde interviews each student to explore their career interests, develop their resume, provides outreach to community organizations and matches student to that organization. After internship confirmation, Concorde continues to monitor the progress of the student while corresponding with internship supervisors to ensure students are committing and performing well.
Congratulations to first students to be confirmed by Concorde Foundation into the following internships:
Pairie (18) assisting with Chorale Program at Raymond Elementary
Raven (18) providing job search support at the Refugee Center
Daquan (18) supporting theatre production and administration
